More than 2 years after my internship on the East Coast Lilli and I finally made it to the West Coast of the US for a 30 day vacation.

We invested most of our time in visitng the National Parks that were on our way through California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. The trip started in San Francisco and we travelled the so called Grand Circle as you can see on the map above.

Here are some tips for your own trip

When you had a look at the list of sights you can imagine that this was quite a trip. We drove 4571 miles (more than 7300 kilometres). Originally we planned to have a final one week rest on the beaches of the West Coast but it turned out that we didn't have enough time. So we used that week to drive from Los Angeles back to San Francisco on scenic Highway 1.
